Scrap Tiffany - June Sketch Challenge

Hello Fellow Bloggers!

Well I have just spent 16 hours on a flight from Dallas to Brisbane, and I am feeling just a little on the tired side of life. Luckily I had this challenge done before we headed off on our holiday, so I hope you enjoy.

It is time for another Scrap Tiffany challenge and I just love sketches, especially if you want to get a creative hit without hitting a creative block!

Here is what I came up with the sketch from Sophie - thanks Sophie, great sketch!

And here a few close ups... not sure if you have noticed but I do like to work with accertate and have used it again in this layout as the background for the flower. I used alcohol inks and a heat gun to curl the edges of the accertate, giving it a little dimension.

Make sure you check out the creations from the very talented Design Team.

Scrap Tiffany - Favourite Manufacturer

Hello Bloggers,

I just love this challenge, just something about using your fav's on a layout... so what is my favourite, I have a few...and for this layout it's My Minds Eye and a little bit of Tim Holtz!
I actually created this layout for one of my closest friends, Miche! We have been friends since high school and after seeing some of my layouts when the family were back in Australia for Christmas, she asked me to create a layout for her mum for Mothers Day. I must admit, I was terrified... I love creating memories through scrapbooking, but they are for me... not someone else. But after fretting for a good while, I came up with the layout below and I just love how it turned out.

Isn't he a such a gorgeous little boy, as you know I don't have a boy and although I was worried about the finished project... I just loved the creative process and producing a layout about Saxon. The My Mind's Eye papers, as choosen by my girlfriend, worked so beautifully with the portraits taken by Luke Willey of Voice Photography.

Here is a close up of the layered flowers I created from the My Minds Eye pattern paper and used some Rock Candy to give them a little something.

I hope you liked my layout as much as I do, why not pop over to Scrap Tiffany to check out what the design team have created.

Take care, Krischelle

Scrap Tiffany - Guilty Pleasure

Hello Bloggers,

I am back today to share with you the latest Scrap Tiffany challenge - Guilty Pleasure. What is your guilty pleasure? For me, I don't like coffee, I don't eat a lot of chocolate... and most of you would know I can't have wine... so for me, my indulgence is my desire to create! It's my craft... from knitting... sewing to papercraft of all types. Yeap, that's it... fabric, ribbon, paper, cardstock, beads, felt, paint, ink, punches and tools of all sorts - I just love it!

So this is my layout for this challenge, just a little insight into my craft world... I am sure Kenyon would tell you it is much larger than what you see here.... he he he....

And I wanted to show you a little close up of the flower I made for my layout, it was the first time I have used the Cosmo Cricket Glubers... and I love them! Yes another craft supply that I love...

So thanks for stopping by to check out my layout, make sure you head back to Scrap Tiffany to see what the design team has put together for this challenge.

Till next time, Krischelle

Scrap Tiffany - Stamping Challenge

Hello Bloggers, What a wonderful week of artistic expression! I had a great time with the Blog Hop and got some great ideas for future projects! How about you? Well to back this up, our next challenge is to include stamping in our project. I just love stamps and I have a wonderful collection but somehow I am unable to use them on a layout. So I dug out my beautiful stamps and created the layout below.

So if you are like me and have a collection of stamps and rarely use them, why not have a go at a card or layout for this months challenge and send it into Tiffany. While you are at it, check out all the wonderful projects by the Design Team at the Scrap Tiffany blog.

Till next time, Krischelle

Scrap Tiffany - 'Beauty' Challenge

Hello Bloggers,

Seems that these days I am only able to post is when a Challenge is due - apologies! Well this challenge was one I hadn't thought about much... but once I sat down and choose a photo, pulled all the supplies together, it became a very special layout. Special, as my grandmother passed away late last year and I had been wanting to create a layout to celebrate her life. Included on this layout is a poem that my Dad read out at the funeral and it just reflected my Grandmother so beautifully.

Just in case you can't read my journalling, I have included the peom below.

God looked around His garden and found an empty space;
He looked down upon the earth and saw our tired face;
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest;
God's garen must be beautiful, he only takes the best;
He knew that you were suffering and he knew you were in pain;
He knew that you would never get well on earth again;
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb;
So he closes your weary eyelids and whipsered 'Peace be Thine';
It broke our hearts to loose you;
But you didn't go alone for part of us went with you the day god called you home.

Thank you for coming by to look at my layout, be sure to pop over to Scrap Tiffany to have a look at all the creative cards and layouts from the Design Team.

Till next time, Krischelle

LOL! The one thing we do in sunny Queensland is..... swim!

...unfortunately I missed the cut to get it on the Scrap Tiffany blog, but head over and check out all the talented artists and their work this month.

Scrap Tiffany - Sketch Challenge

Hello Bloggers,

Well as some of you would be aware, Brisbane and most of the state of Queensland has an issue with excess water this week/month! And in all seriousness, it has been an overwhelming and devasting week and my heart and prayers go out to all who has been affected by the floods. All my family and friends are high and dry and we are very thankful to all who are assisting in getting the people of Queensland back on their feet!

On another note, it is challenge time over at Scrap Tiffany and this time was a sketch challenge. I love boundries and rules, so a layout/card sketch is the perfect interpretation of boundries to me! Here is the sketch, by the very talented Bev:

And here is my interpretation, I am very literal when it comes to sketches and I love the way this one turned out.

Check out the many talented designs from our Design team at Scrap Tiffany and why not have a go yourself!

Till next time, stay safe.... Krischelle

Scrap Tiffany - January Challenge - Scraplift

Hello Fellow Bloggers, I am so very excited to bring you my first Challenge design for Scrap Tiffany! This challenge was to get to know my fellow DT members and their blogs and then to scraplift an element, technique or the entire layout if you wanted!

So after much consideration, I choose a layout by Sophie (France), check out her layout here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sophversionscrap/4757008181/in/photostream/. I love a number of the elements of this layout, like the doily, the bunting, the stitching, the gathered paper.... just beautiful and as it goes when you lift, things change and your creation takes shape - I even had that exact doily but it just didn't do justice to the finish layout!

What do you think of my creation?

And time for some closeup's:

Thanks for the inspiration Sophie, check out all the amazing layouts from the team at Scrap Tiffany: http://www.scraptiffany.com/blog_tiffany/.
PS I have to apologise for the web address not being 'hyperlinked' if that's what you call it, I haven't worked out how that is done as yet - open to any suggestions! Thanks!
